Teacher guide

Everything you need to get your profile live and start teaching on myskillora.

Getting started

1. Create your profile

Write a clear headline that says what you teach and who for. Add your years of experience and a short teaching style summary. A specific headline helps students find you.

2. Choose your subjects and fees

Select the subjects you teach and set your session fees. Your first subject is shown as your primary subject. Fees are in rupees and you can offer more than one session type.

3. Set your availability

Pick the days and hours you can teach. Students can only request times inside your availability, so keep it up to date.

4. Get approved

Our team reviews every teacher profile before it goes live, usually within 24 to 48 hours. You'll see a Pending Review badge on your dashboard until then.

5. Accept bookings

Students send booking requests. Accept or decline each one from your bookings page. When a session is accepted, your default meeting link is added so the student can join.

Tips for success

  • Add a meeting link in your settings so accepted sessions have a join link ready.
  • Respond to booking requests promptly. Students are more likely to book again when they get a quick reply.
  • Ask students to leave a review after a session. Reviews and ratings affect your tier.
  • Use the teacher dashboard to reply to reviews and keep your profile current.

Fees, commission and visibility

Platform commission depends on your tier, which rises with completed sessions and ratings. Visibility is an initial period after approval that you can renew from your dashboard. Renewal pricing is shown there, not here, so it always reflects current terms.
